![]() Is anyone out there very familiar with this tool?īy the way I am running Windows 7 home premium on an 'MSI Z87M Gaming' motherboard and an Intel i5-4670k. The Intel power gadget CPU frequency and Temperature readings match the readings I get when simultaneously running MSI/Intel stress test from the MSI/Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (this utility does not measure CPU power usage) but the power readings seem odd.the Intel Power Gadget mostly shows my CPU as using between about 1 and 2 watts while my system is not doing much and only about 15 watts when the MSI/Intel Etreme Tuning Utility runs it's CPU stress test and pushes CPU utilization up to 100%. I installed it on my new rig and seem to be getting nonsensical CPU power readings. Supposedly it measures CPU power consumption (and three other CPU functions) It's been updated for use with Windows 7 64 bit and submitted to the site for downloading on by one of the Intel developers. At the end of the script, call IntelPowerGadget.
